Welcome To My Fundraising Page!

I am happy to inform you all that I have been chosen to be a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2021 Students of the Year campaign. My 7-week campaign will begin on Thursday, January 14th to support LLS's mission to find a cure for cancer.  My team name is Team Cancer Busters and we decided to specifically choose this name to represent the hope we have that one day, we will be able to bust cancer. Through your help and support, our team's mission may soon become a reality.

As a former team member in the 2020 Students of the Year Campaign, I thoroughly enjoyed the fundraising process and was able to see my hard work come to fruition as the LLS supported even more cancer patients, families, and research. Seeing these successes motivated me to continue my fundraising journey with the LLS, so I decided to lead my own team this year as a candidate. However, there is still a lot of work to be done as there are currently 1.3 million Americans battling blood cancers, but with your help, this number could be significantly reduced.

LLS has already proven itself to be extremely beneficial in the field of cancer research as it has helped advance 58 of the 68 blood cancer treatment options approved by the FDA since 2017. Supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. In fact, they're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. These continued advancements over the years are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. We really are changing the face of blood cancer! With your help, I know that we will continue to do so.
