Dear Friends & Family, 

I’m very excited to share with you that I am part of the 2021 Student of the Year campaign and over the next 7 weeks, I will be working to raise money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their mission to cure blood cancers. 

It’s an honor to be a part of such an outstanding group of fellow students, but an even larger honor to be able to work for the patients, survivors and their families. I am running this campaign in honor of my grandfather, mom, and good friend Diego. My grandfather passed away from AML several years ago and it was a gut check for our family. Fast forwarding to the beginning of 2020 my mom went in for a checkup and received horrible news, she had been diagnosed with CML. It really put stuff in perspective on how valuable life truly is. If I thought cancer couldn’t affect my life anymore, I was wrong… A couple months ago my good friend Diego got diagnosed with AML. All these tragedies motivated me to take initiative. By doing so I found the Lymphoma Leukemia Society and I am honored to help them find a cure. 

My personal goal is to raise 20,000 between January 14^th and March 5^th. It’s a lofty goal, but I am willing to work hard to reach it. I cannot do it alone; I need your help. There are a few ways you can support my fundraising efforts: 

1. Share my message & fundraising link with your contacts via email or social media

2. Help me secure a corporate sponsorship (Sponsorships start at $5,000 and sponsors receive Gala benefits) 

3. Donate a silent auction item that can be used for the Grand Finale Gala auction
