I hope that you and your families are all doing well and staying safe during this crazy time!! I know that life is constantly busy but I want to thank YOU for taking time out of your day to visit my fundraising page! 

LLS is an organization that focuses on supporting patients and their families as they put up a fight against blood cancer. What I love is that LLS not only is advancing and investing funds towards cancer research, but they also are striving to personally give guidance and hope to families with patients. 

I am running in honor of my dad who was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in February 2018. He is at stage zero and I am so incredibly grateful because this is the best case scenario for someone with this disease. He is currently symptom free and able to live his every day life normally aside from a few yearly checkups with the oncologist. Sadly, I know that this is not the reality for the many patients diagnosed with blood cancers. It is not right that so many patients and their families are suffering from this disease and its effects. Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer and every nine minutes someone passes. This needs to stop and the suffering NEEDS to end.  

Effective research that LLS is able to do is so important and is truly changing the face of cancer research. Me and my co-candidate Sarah's 7 week campaign will give The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society the opportunity to continue fighting this disease. I lastly wanted to share a verse that inspires me and my co-candidate Sarah as we take action in our campaign. 1 John 4:9 tells us to love others as God first loved us. Through this amazing oppurtunity with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, me and Sarah are able to show love to those affected by blood cancers and that is our priority as we are participating in this campaign.
