Students of the Year Houston

Jack Lovett | Jack Lovett's Campaign Team

Welcome to Jack Lovett's SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 24, 2020

I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to help the more than 1.2 million Americans who are living with a blood cancer. Each year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Houston Chapter launches its Students of the Year fundraising campaign. This year, I started a campaign to benefit the fight against cancer. During this campaign from Jan. 8th through Feb. 28, our team goal is to raise $50,000 which will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Hope

Cancer has affected so many people and I want to help make a difference and be a part of something bigger than myself. Like many of you, I have witnessed first-hand the debilitating effects that blood cancers can have on those who suffer from these blood diseases. I have decided to run this campaign in memory of Hope and Juju. Hope lost her battle to leukemia and Juju lost her battle to neuroblastoma. Additionally I am running in honor of my Aunt Mary Ann who is a Breast Cancer survivor.  In fact, every 10 minutes, someone dies from a blood cancer. LLS is finding cures. They are funding advances like targeted therapies that zero in on cancer cells and kill them, leaving healthy cells intact. Now is the time to give. Support LLS in creating a world without blood cancers.

The deadline for receiving contributions in the mail is February 27th. Please note: your donations are tax deductible.

Aside from donations, we would love to hear from you, or someone you know, who would be willing to donate goods or services for auction items, sponsorships, ads, or other possible fundraising opportunities. Large or small your contribution to this worthy effort will be greatly appreciated.

I want to thank each and every one of my friends and family for their generous support of The LLS mission. We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
