I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

I became a Student Visionary because my grandma beat breast cancer. With a family member of mine being a cancer survivor, I understand what it can feel like to watch someone you love suffer from cancer. That being said, I never knew how to get involved, or how I could help. I didn't think there was a way I could get involved. When I saw a post in my school's announcements about Student Visionaries of the Year, I learned that I could actually help, even at my young age.

By donating to my fundraiser, you can help to make cancer a thing of the past. And you can help cancer patients and their families cope with the horrors that come with having cancer.

You might be wondering why you should care about the LLS. You may have had a family member suffer from a form of cancer other than blood cancer. The truth is, blood cancer research can make advancements in other forms of cancer research. 

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
