Dear Friends:

For almost my entire life, my Father has been fighting a cancer called Multiple Myeloma. When I was 8 months 

old he was told he’d have 1 to 3 years to live. 

The Doctors clearly didn’t know my Dad. They also underestimated the amount of new cutting edge drugs in the pipeline. There have been several times my Dad’s current treatment had stopped working and things were not looking good. Thankfully each time there was a new drug to try. He is now on his 17th line of treatment.  

The older I have become, the more aware I am of the seriousness of this fight. I’m ready to help, and I know what I’m going to do. January 29, 2024 will mark the 15th year of this cancer fight. I will be 15 years and 8 months old. I’m going to fight for my Dad.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary non profit health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and eduction. Some of the drugs my Dad has used have come from research funded by this organization. I have chosen not just to raise money, but have applied, and have been accepted, to be a candidate for the LLS’s NW Ohio Student Visionary of the Year. The Student Visionary program is a leadership development program with a fund raising period that runs from January 12, 2024 to March 1, 2024. I am writing to ask you to donate. During this period, I will raise $60,000, $4,000 for each year of the fight so far.

Since his time in the military Dad’s motto has been “Courage Conquers”. That motto has served him well. I have chosen it to be our team name.  Please join team “Courage Conquers” and give what you can.  You can also help by passing this on to others interested in this campaign to fund blood cancer research.
