Team's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 12, 2023

Welcome to Team H.O.P.E! We are your candidates Sarah Johnson, Kayleigh Mikolajczyk, and Cincere Temple! The three of us are currently seniors at Roy C. Start high school and we are creating a legacy for the entire TPS District. Cincere is a member of varsity football and track, alongside Young Men of Excellence, SMARTS, and National Honor Society. Cincere plans on furthering his study at the University of Southern California to become a professional actor. Sarah Johnson is a varsity cheerleader for both football and basketball. She also is part of SMARTS and National Honor Society. Sarah hopes to graduate top of her class and further her education at Duke University where she plans to pursue her dream of becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Kayleigh Mikolajczyk is a captain of the girl’s varsity soccer team at Start. She is also a member of National Honor Society and SMARTS as well as Young Women of Excellence. Kayleigh plans to attend college where she will pursue a degree in business and after graduation plans on going to law school to be an attorney. The three of us have decided to pursue advocacy as the focus of our LLS campaign because we strongly believe that each and every patient suffering from Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, and Myeloma should have access to the treatment they need without worrying about medical costs or compromises. To all of those who feel they are facing this battle alone, our message to you is… Hold On, Pain Ends.

Team's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Nov 14, 2022

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
