Hi everyone! My name is Lilly Herr and I am a junior at Evergreen High School. I participate in various activities such as my school band, 4-h, and FFA. This fundraiser is very personal for me, because in April 2022 I was diagnoes with stage two Hodgkins Lymphoma. This dianosis was an utter shock to me, I never imaged in a million years I would be diagnosed with cancer at age 16, with so many new emotions it was certainly overwhelming! Over the course of 4 months, I went through two chemo cycles; however, that would not the the last treatment I would have to beat cancer. When my PET scan came back after chemo, there were still some active cancer spots, and so the radiation began. I did thirteen radiation sesssions in a month, did yet another PET scan... and I am officially cancer free as of November 4, 2022! It is my hope with this fundraiser that I can help people with blood cancers, just as I had so many people supporting me when I was battling cancer!
