Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibilities.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

Why did I join the campaign?:

I joined this campaign because I have seen firsthand how cancer can affect someone's life, and their family's life. When I was 5 years old, my grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I was devastated seeing her bedridden, not being able to play our favorite games together because she was ill and weakened by the disease. It was evident how cancer took a toll on her body, well-being, and the rest of my family as well. At the time, I had no idea what she was going through, working through the pain and struggling to maintain a positive attitude about everything. But how can one do so when they are burdened with the detrimental and life-changing ramifications that come with cancer? Healthcare bills, surgeries, doctors - cancer had engulfed my entire family, everyone working to care for my grandmother while also managing everyday tasks. The day after her passing, I found myself reflecting on how one disease, a tiny tumor, could inflict so much pain and suffering into the lives of so many.

It is truly unfair how every day so many people suffer from cancer, and their family & friends, suffer too, knowing that there is a possibility that they may never be able to see someone they love because cancer may take their life. We are lucky enough to have treatments for several types of cancers already, but everyone is different. Some don’t react well to treatment and are left hopeless. I am a part of LLS today for this reason; with our combined efforts, we can raise enough money to help researchers develop a cure for cancer so no one ever has to be worried about losing their loved ones to this devastating disease again. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to countless families.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
