We are TEAM CURE CREATORS! We are freshmen at Evergreen Valley High School in the San Jose, California. We are honored to be selected for this year’s fundraising competition hosted by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, called Students of the Year of 2019. The competition starts on January 11 and ends on March 2.

Why we are doing this!

Leukemia is the most common cancer in children and in teens. Blood cancer has affected over 170,000 people in 2018 alone and the numbers won’t stop there. We need to stop it here and now. Every 3 seconds someone in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer and every 9 minutes someone from the U.S.A. dies from blood cancer. 

LLS's continued advancements over the years are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling, and even quadrupling. Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. So blood cancer research is helping save more than a million Americans who are fighting a daily battle with blood cancer.
