Welcome to Stella’s Squad/Bayliss’ Band!

I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next few weeks.  I’m so excited to be an “honorary” Student of the Year candidate.    

I’m only 8 years old, but cancer has already touched my life in many ways.  My uncle James is currently undergoing treatment for Multiple Myeloma.  LLS has been there to support James and our entire family during this journey through their Information Resource Center (IRC).  Current treatments being utilized by Uncle James’ oncologist began with LLS research projects. 

My friend since nursery school Bayliss is currently battling a rare form of liver cancer.  Bayliss is an 8 year old SUPERHERO!  From birthday parties, fiesta celebrations and everything in between Bayliss always has a smile on her face and loving spirit. 

Bayliss mom Annie shared her involvement with LLS.  “I want to thank each of you for the work you do to improve the lives of patients battling cancer. I have volunteered with LLS for the past 15 years and am so inspired by the work that LLS does and the accomplishments they have made over the years.  In the ongoing quest to help raise funds for LLS, I frequently remind people that when they donate to fund ground-breaking cancer research, they are making an investment in HOPE for patients and their families.”

I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
 
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
