OUR WHY

Feb 12, 2022

Emma's Why - A Little over two years ago my aunt, Tina Eubanks, the youngest of 6 kids, passed from leukemia at the age of 53. Her passing had a profound effect on our whole family. Seeing the way this loss effected my family, as well as seeing my other aunt fundraise with LLS for the past two years, has pushed me to raise more so that others don’t have to go through what my family went through. LLS helps so much with not just blood cancers but all cancers, striving to make a difference and help other patients and families in their fights against cancer. With this campaign I hope to help in that fight! Let's beat cancer!!

Lucy's Why- I’m honored to commit to this campaign for those that have lost loved ones to cancer. Before I could meet him, my grandfather passed away from throat cancer. Even though I was unable to establish a connection with him, I witnessed the sadness my father goes through with knowing that his father was taken too soon. Raising awareness of cancer is one thing I am passionate about as no one should have to go through the pain of receiving such a life-altering diagnosis, as cancer disrupts so much more than a person's physical health. I hope to one day see a cure for cancer and that my small part can contribute to this fight that is so much bigger than myself.

Team's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 06, 2022

We have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and areworking to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for our campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help us earn that title?

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, our efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit our website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org

Good Luck with your fundraiser! Cancer has struck some of my family members and no one is immune to it. Every bit of research helps find better ways to treat it. Thank you for helping.
