Hi! My name is Samantha Kayne, I'm a freshman at Indian Hill High School in Cincinnati, OH. I am so excited to be apart of the 2022 Students of the Year (SOY) with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society campaign. This is my first year and I'm really looking forward to doing my part in make a difference in this campaign.

SOY is a 7 week campaign for high school students competing to raise the most amount of money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All the money that is raised within these weeks is donated to blood cancer research. Every dollar you donate is one step closer to finding a cure. 

Why am I part of this cause? 

I am helping fundraise for LLS because I really want to support research and spread awareness for those that are struggling with blood cancer. Cancer is a horrible disease that no one ever wants to go through or see a loved one experience. I am running on behalf of my grandma and one of my close friends who over the past year have been diganosed with cancer. I'm proud to say they have both recently beat it! Watching them fight has really opened my eyes and pushed me to do whatever I can to support research, provide service, and find a cure! 
  
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
