Jenna's Students of the Year Fundraiser!

Feb 16, 2022

Hi! My name is Jenna Arnold, and I'm a freshman at Indian Hill. I've always lived in Cincinnati, and I'm thankful for the community I have in IH. My friends, teammates and faith are some of my favorite things in life, so I'm excited to be a part of this team raising support for blood cancer patients and their families.

Cancer touches so many people, and it's so hard for a lot of reasons. I've seen friends battle cancer and people in my family face diagnoses with a lot of hope. The support from people in their lives is always what encourages me the most. I want to be one of those people advocating for the patients doing the real fighting and communicating to them that they are seen and cared for. I hope you'll be part of this with us.

What is Students of the Year?

For those of you who do not know what Students of the Year (SOY) is, it is a 7-week long campaign in which students across the Greater Cincinnati area compete to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The money raised from all of the teams is donated to LLS for research and treatments that help people with blood cancer and other types of cancer too.

Having a heart for other people is special. Sometimes the hardest part is knowing how to help, how to create a meaningful impact. I just want to encourage you that giving financial support, however big or small, to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is one way to multiply what you have for a positive impact in serving real individuals. Cancer is very humbling and intimidating. Your support reflects that patients are not alone in their experience with cancer, and it very well could mean that individuals in the future won't have to know this experience at all.

On behalf of myself but more importantly blood cancer patients and their families everywhere, thank you for your support! If you want to explore more about LLS, you can go to their website www.lls.org
