Colin McGuire | Cancer Eradicators

Colin McGuire's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 18, 2022

I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org

I'm donating in honor of the donors who saved my husband's life (two bone marrow transplants after his 1st leukemia and after his relapse, two different donors. The first one was from America (we are from Switzerland)). My husband suffered from this illness, but my 3 daughters and I were much affected by the whole situation too. May they be richly blessed. Thanks Colin for choosing this good cause, and thanks Jennifer for being such a helpful and loving Mum.<3

I donated in memory of my beloved dog Lory who died of Lymphoma on Aug. 16, 2021. Whether human or animal when someone you love dies a little piece of your heart gets ripped away leaving a void. The only way to fill that void is to replace it with faith and trust in God. Time does not heal all wounds, but God's love helps to soothe the pain.

Oh, Colin. You couldn't have picked a fund nearer and dearer to my heart. My husband suffers from Multiple Myeloma and the research done by this organization has given our family at least 10 extra years to have this wonderful man in our lives. Those were years he could enjoy his 11 grandchildren and, God-Willing, meet a great-grandchild or two. Bless you, for your efforts and our prayers go to each and every person struggling with cancer of any kind, their caregivers, and families as well.

  • Angela

Hi Connor, to be honest, I would not have known about your fundraiser if it were not for your mom whom I greatly admire and respect! Her message of sharing kindness continues to be a bright light that is sorely needed in today's weary world. I am very happy to donate to such a worthy cause in her honor.
