Hello! My name is Ashwini Krishnan, I am a junior at Indian Hill High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and I am so excited to be part of this campaign! I was lucky enough to be part of this my freshman year, and I am even more pumped to be back again!

SOY is a 7 week campaign for high school students to raise as much money as they can in the Cincinnati Area for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Whichever team raises the most money in these 7 weeks will be named Students of the Year.  Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign as well as one more dollar towards research to find a cure for blood cancer. Every dollar you donate gets us one step closer to that cure. 

Why am I part of this cause?

I’m helping fundraise because although I have never been affected directly, cancer has hurt and affected far too many people for us not to try to do everything we can to find an end. Every. Single. Dollar that is donated gets us one step closer to curing this relentless disease. With your help, we will be able to fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
