Team's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
Hi, our names are Vivian Whaley, Bella Conn, and Christian Mangano and we are very excited to be leading Team Braveup as candidates for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This year, we are very excited to get started with Team Brave Up and begin our fundraising journey. We are so happy to have such a big team full of determined IH students, and we are very grateful for the people in our community who have donated their time and resources to our fundraising efforts and events. We can't wait to start raising money for cancer research and patients and give back to a community that has given so much to us.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Through the Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, students across the United States work hard to fundraise over seven weeks and compete to raise the most amount of money.
We have been involved with this organization for three years now, and it is something we are very grateful to be involved with. This year, we will be fundraising by partnering with local restaurants and businesses, selling Team Braveup t-shirts, and even doing more simple things such as bake sales at our school. Our team members are all excited to start the LLS fundraising campaign, and so are we!
Our school has been a great help in giving their time and space for some of our fundraising needs. Our parents have also given us so much support in the process! A big thank you goes out to our community and our sponsors for helping us support an excellent cause. Thank you so much for contributing to our team and for your time.
With Love,
Team BraveUp
Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
