Connor's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 28, 2024

Me, My Life, and My Connection to LLS

My name is Connor Bill. I am a senior at Elder High School where I am a member of the Honors Plus Program, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Student Council. While maintaining my 4.0 GPA, I also run Charcuterie Boards By Connor, a business I started and have successfully run for four years.  I have grown my business and served many people across the greater Cincinnati area. My boards are beautiful, delicious, handcrafted, and easily recognizable. Running my business has taught me many skills such as marketing, communication, customer service, pricing, time management, organization, and much more. Outside of my running my business, you can find me enjoying nature, traveling, hanging out with friends, or spending quality time with my family. Furthermore, my passion for helping others can be seen through my charitable work. I started my charitable organization, Focus Local, 3 years ago. To date, I have raised over $10,000 for this cause. Money raised goes to children and their families who are in need of assistance around the holidays. I purchase toys, clothes, shoes, food, toiletries, coats, hats and gloves, and other necessities from the children’s wishlists.  I wrap all the presents with the help of friends and family and then deliver them to their respective locations. Doing this has opened my eyes to the hardships that many people face. My passion for helping others has truly deepened as a result of this and it is one of the reasons that I chose to campaign for 2024 Student Visionary of the Year. Another reason why I decided to run is my Great-Uncle Brian’s connection to LLS. He is 20+ years into surviving and thriving with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. Thanks to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society he was provided with the life-saving drug that keeps him alive to this day. I was a team member last year on my Great-Aunt Cyndi’s Visionary of the Year campaign which is also a contributing factor in why I chose to run as a student this year. I believe that with my fundraising events during the seven-week campaign coupled with the support of generous donors like you, I can reach my goal of raising $100,000. I would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know me and for your willingness to contribute.

Sincerely,

Connor Bill

Meet My Team

Jan 28, 2024

These amazing people are all members of Team Westside Warriors! Together we have a collective goal of raising $100,000 for this cause. Without their help, I would not be able to successfully execute my campaign. They are all integral components of my team and they are working with me diligently to be able to reach our goal. Their passion, drive, and excitement for our seven-week campaign match mine. We all have unique reasons as to why we chose to fundraise for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which makes our fundraising that much more impactful. I hope that you will join all of us in our journey to raise $100,000 and put an end to blood cancers!

Thank you for doing this. My husband is a 6 year survivor of AML. He was given 2 months to live but the research and doctors were able to give him a second chance to see his grandchildren grow up. LLS is an amazing organization. It’s people like Conner that give people like Jim a new lease on life. There are so many people that need LLS to get them through this journey. They help so many people when they are going through the scariest times. Please help Conner with his fundraising, because LLS exists because of people like him. Go Warriors!!!
