Student Visionaries of the Year Cincinnati

Emma Steiner | Team CoUREage 4.0

Emma's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Dec 16, 2022

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help. I, Emma Steiner, have accepted the nomination to be a candidate for the 2023 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign, and I am ecstatic to be fundraising for such a critical cause. I hope that we can be the generation to see a world without cancer. However, research to find a cure isn't possible without your support.

As many of you know, I fundraised as a team member for Loveland's Team CoUREage 3.0 in 2022. Now, for the 2023 campaign, I am stepping up to fill the role of candidate for Team CoUREage 4.0. As a team of over 30 members, we are counting on the support of the community to help us raise $100,000 for blood cancer research. Please help us reach our goal and remember that no donation is too small!

Personally, I am lucky to say that I have not received a personal blood cancer diagnosis, but I fight for those who aren't as lucky. Not only has my family been hit by cancer, but the community of Loveland has also faced the unfortunate reality of cancer. From Grant Wolf to Darnell Parker and many others, it is safe to say that cancer has stripped too much from our community. Together, we can change this awful reality of cancer!

All things considered, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
