Izzy Laidly | Team Smiles For A Cure's Campaign Team
Welcome to Izzy Laidly's SOY Fundraising Page!
My name is Izzy Laidly and this is my fundraising page for my 2020 Students of the Year Campaign. Students of the year is a philanthropic leadership development program for exceptional high school students. I was nominated by Greg Wasmund, a family friend, to compete in this exciting campaign. My friend, Lauren Hoyle, and I are doing this campaign so we can raise as much money as we can to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in just 7 weeks. I am raising money for this society because many people young and old lose their lives to blood cancer. Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with some form of blood cancer and unfortunately my Grandma was one. In 2015 she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. This is a form of blood cancer that effects your white blood cells causing them to weaken bones and multiply. On April 4, 2015, my Grandma lost her battle to cancer. By doing this project I want to raise money in memory of her because she was an amazing person. She was an active member in her community and she was always helpful and loving. Many of my other family members have had cancer too so I have committed to help LLS. I don't want to lose anyone else to cancer and nobody should have to suffer through that pain. Please help my team and I, Smiles for a Cure, in this battle against cancer and donate today. If you are interested, contact me or Lauren for more ways to help us. Thank you for your support!

Hi Izzy, Thank you for helping with such a great cause. As you can attest to, so many people are affected by leukemia and lymphoma. I lost my brother Ben to leukemia when he was in his early 20's. With the help of people like you, we can help find a cure. Thanks for your help. The Gedeon Family

Dear Izzy, What a lovely tribute to your grandmother! Having CLL myself, I'm very grateful to generous people like you who work to support research and care. I lost a very close friend a few years ago to an aggressive form of CLL, so this is a cause near to my heart as well. God bless your efforts! Judy and Bill Setchell
