Students of the Year Dayton

Harsha Paladugu | Team Cubing For A Cure's Campaign Team

Welcome to Harsha Paladugu's SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 17, 2020

I am honored to be participating as a candidate for the 2020 Students of the Year program, which a seven-week competition in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. my co-candidate and I have a passion for solving Rubik's cubes, and we seek to combine this passion with our love of helping out the community to show students like us around the country that community service can be great and fun, you just have to put in the time and effort. We will be hosting a Rubik's cube competition on February 29th, and all the funds will be donated to LLS!

Luckily, through the support of students like us and community members like you, since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Just in our Dayton area, $900,000 was given back to support patients and their families.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!
