Welcome to Team JumpingForJoy's SOY Fundraising Page!
Hello team Jumping for Joy with SOY supporters!
Happy Valentine's Day to you all!
We have been given a new challenge to try to accomplish and we need your help to win $1,000 towards our team goal. We have been given a map of the 50 states in our country. Our challenge is to get as many donations as we can from as many states as we can. No donation amount is too small or too large. All amounts count towards this challenge and will make a difference towards blood cancer research. We ask that you spread the word to your family and friends that live in states other than Ohio (though we have that one covered, of course we'll graciously accept more donations from people living in our home state). When you or someone you know makes a donation, we ask that you include a message with your state in the message. That way we can easily track the states we've reached on the map we were given.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported us in some way! Cancer can't cure itself, but together we can raise money to help the doctors and scientist researchers find better ways to cure cancer.
With love, hugs, and joy,
Kayleigh and Lyndsey
Cold Weather Day Challenge
Hi friends and family!
As you know, we are candidates for the 2019 Student of the Year campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Thank you to everyone who has made a donation or supported us in some way so far. If you haven't made a donation and are planning to, we are asking that you help us out by making your donation today. We just got word about the ❄️ Cold Weather Day Challenge ❄️ and have been challenged to raise as much money as we can between 9:00AM today and 9:00AM tomorrow. ⏰
Please click on this secure link: https://events.lls.org/soh/daytonsoy19/tjumpingfo and make a donation to our team, Jumping for Joy with SOY, today. All of the money raised goes straight towards finding a cure for blood cancer and helping to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. No donation is too large or too small. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by messaging us or replying to this post! We thank you in advance for your support of this wonderful cause!
Wishing you and your family a fun, warm cold weather day!
Hugs, love, and JOY,
Kayleigh and Lyndsey
Welcome to Team JumpingForJoy's SOY Fundraising Page!
Happy New Year from Kayleigh and Lyndsey! We are excited to share that we’ve been nominated again for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Students Of the Year fundraising campaign and are running as a team in the inaugural year of the Dayton campaign! Last year we received 3rd place in the Cincinnati SOY Campaign, raising over $58,000. This year we want to make an even bigger impact here in our hometown of Dayton. The campaign is 7 weeks, from January 17, 2019 through March 9, 2019. Our team name is Jumping for Joy with SOY. (Kayleigh dances and Lyndsey does high jump so we thought this was a perfect name to combine our passions,)
Our goal is to raise at least $50,000 for LLS so that we can honor all lives lost and impacted by this terrible disease. With your help, we will crusade for a cure for cancer!
Founded in 1949, LLS has played a leading – and often pioneering – role in the fight against blood cancers. Since 2000, approximately 40 percent of all U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved cancer drugs were for blood cancer, and some are now used to treat other forms of cancer and non-malignant diseases. A “win” for blood cancers is a win for the cancer community overall.
Now that you know what we’re doing, we’d like to tell you why supporting LLS means so much to us…
Kayleigh: I am running because I have been personally affected by blood cancer. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2010, when I was 8 years old. During my 2 1/2 years of treatment, LLS was there to support me and my family. They asked me to be an honored hero, helping others fundraise. This started my love for helping others. Fundraising for organizations that helped me and my family and others in need has become very important to me. I want to continue to try to make a difference in the community and other people's lives. Thanks to LLS, I met Lyndsey and here we are today, raising money for the great organization that brought us together.
Lyndsey: I am running for Student of the Year in honor of my sister Caroline, who passed away from Neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. Caroline was diagnosed in 2004 when she was just 4 years old. She fought a long and hard battle, reaching remission and then relapsing. Caroline lost her battle in August 2007 at just 7 years old. As her younger sister, I want to help continue her legacy and honor her by raising money to try and help find a cure for cancer so no other children have to go through what she went through. LLS doesn’t just help blood cancer patients…they’ve funded treatments used in trials for Neuroblastoma and many other diseases!
We are saving lives not someday, but today!! Please join the team and help us all fight cancer.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!
With love and joy,
Lyndsey and Kayleigh :)
