Dear Friends & Family,

I’m very excited to share that I was recently given the opportunity to be part of the 2019 Student of the Year campaign, and over the next 7 weeks I will be working to raise money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), an organization that is very close to my family's heart.

My great-grandmother was diagnosed with Leukemia and unfortunately passed away, this gave my family and especially my mom the urge to do her part in hopes that one day other families won't lose loved ones to cancer. After seeing the efforts and accomplishes my mom has made, I'm excited to be a part of this outstanding group of students and together be able to work for patients, survivors, and their families.

My personal goal is to raise $15,000 between January 18th and March 9th. Although it's a lofty goal, I am willing to work hard to reach it. I cannot do this alone, I need your help! Here are a few ways that you can support my fundraising efforts:

Not only is this campaign a great way to support LLS and their life-saving work, but it's a great leadership and once in a lifetime opportunity for me! Students receive scholarships based on our fundraising and awareness efforts. I am so excited to be able to make a difference in my community in this way.
