LeAnn's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Mar 18, 2021

Thank you SO much for your donation!!! For more info on why I'm doing this, read the information below. Please share this link with anyone you know or who may know my family. If you have any corporate connections that may be willing to donate, please email me at leann.niederman@gmail.com

Some of you may have known my dad (Bob Niederman) personally and some of you may not. He was the kind of man who didn't know a stranger. Everywhere he went, he would leave with a new friend or aquaintaince. I can't tell you how many times people have told me "you're dad was such an amazing guy". It's humbling, to have such an amazing role model that I only got to be with a few short years of my life.

2021 marks the 10 year anniversary of his passing. Because my dad would have been 55 this year, my goal for this fundraiser is $55,000. There are a few ways my team and I are working towards this goal. We are collecting silent auction items, fundraising, selling baked goods and other homeade items, and hosting farm events (for more information, follow Niederman Family Farm on facebook).

Here are a few dates to look forward to during the fundraiser! On March 21st, we will be having a special paintaball day in my dad's memory. His birthday is on March 22nd, so we will be doing a dine n donate night at Texas Roadhouse (West Chester location). This was one of his favorite places to go. On March 27th, we will be hosting an Easter egg hunt at the farm, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the fundraiser. One March 31st is a Chipotle Dine n Donate at the location by Lakota East from 4-8pm (for both dine n donates you must show the flyer which can be found on facebook). And on April 3rd we will be having a boot camp class at Rise Fitness with proceeds going to LLS. For more information visit the farm facebook page or my personal page!

LLS has donated nearly $1.3 billion in cutting edge cancer research worldwide since it was founded in 1949. Since the 1960s, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled. Not only do they help with prescriptions, but they also help families with things like transportation to treatments that may be farther away and non-medical needs. Their urgent need program helps families pay for basic necessities like food and rent. People don't realize how costly cancer is, with the average blood cancer patient paying more than $112,000 throughout their cancer journey.

 All donations are tax-deductible.

LeAnn, your dad was a very special man. I admired his wonderful work ethic, kindness, and sense of humor. But most of all, he was a family man. I remember meeting around your kitchen table with him and your mom talking about ideas for the year ahead. One day he rode up to me in a 4-wheeler and I asked why baby Jesus was in the back. He laughed and said he brings him in every night from the Christmas display so he wouldn't get hurt or stolen. Whenever I think of him, I smile. I feel blessed to have known him. God bless and good luck with all you do.

LeAnn - Thank you for saying YES to this challenge in honor of your father. You are a testament to the generosity and kindness of your father and the Niederman family legacy. Our children were SOY 2017 & 2018 candidates. I also recruited two teams for SOY2020; Team Hawks for Hope & Team Queens. Each one of these candidates will tell you how much they learned and grew during these 7 weeks. So when it is time for the Grand Finale Celebration be proud and know that you have done an amazing job in the fight against cancer. Thank you! Mrs. Borglum

Your Dad was so influential to my life as a young man. I wouldn't be who I am today without the formative time I spent with him working at the farm, going to get ice cream, or just spending time together. I miss him very much. He was a light to a lot of people in a dark world. He would be so proud of you and what you are doing. Thank you for pursuing this goal. Giving hope to others and furthering the research is something he would have wanted. I know this donation is a small token of something that I can never repay or replace, but I'm honored to have the chance to do this in his name. Thank you and God Bless.
