Students of the Year Cincinnati
Team Addie & Lynsey | Team Addie & Lynsey's Campaign Team
Welcome to Team Addie & Lynsey's SOY Fundraising Page!
We are honored to participate in the 2020 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are proud to be raising critical dollars in honor of young patient heros who are currently battling or are in remission from a blood cancer. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.
Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
We decided to take on this challenge because we want to do what we can to make a difference in the cancer world. Each of our immediate families have been personally affected by cancer. In 2013, Addie’s grandpa was diagnosed with Leukemia, he fought hard for 2 years but passed away in 2015. Lynsey’s brother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer at the age of 4 and has undergone extensive treatment to rid not only the cancer, but also the after effects of the treatments he has received. We are very passionate about raising money in order to help the fight to find a cure. Our team goal is to raise $15,000 for the cause and we can’t do it alone.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

I am so proud of Addie for joining the fight against cancer. We have lost too many people precious to us with this horrible disease. Patrick Fagan and Rosie Mundhenk lost their battles but there any others in need of a cure. Donating to this cause will help fund a coordinated effort for the cure. Please help Addie’s team with this fight for a cure.
