All For A-Town 3.0 | All For A-Town 3.0's Campaign Team

Welcome to All For A-Town 3.0's SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 05, 2020

We are Lucy Yungblut, Maya Tilley, and Carlie Mays, and we are running for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student of the Year Campaign.

This campaign is a seven week fundraising competition among high school students in the tri state. The goal of the campaign is to raise as much money as possible, which will be put into  cancer research.

Lucy is running because she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of four. On a Friday in 2007, her mom took her to the doctor's office, knowing she was sick but not the extent of it. They were sent to the hospital with a long road ahead of us with a 2-3 year treatment plan but the Leukemia Lymphoma Society was there to help. They were lost because nobody in their family had been diagnosed with cancer before but LLS immediately offered our family support and Lucy is am happy to say that she is now cancer free. Lucy is participating in this campaign in honor of those who weren't as lucky as she was and to help all future patients.

Carlie is running because at 18 months her cousin Ella was also diagnosed with ALL. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society reached out to Carlie's family right away. Before Ella's diagnosis, blood cancer had never run in their family. The Leukima and Lymphoma Society explained what was going on and what steps Carlies family had to take tp put an end to Ellas cancer. Ella is now 10 years old and is a cancer survivor!

Maya is running in honor of Lucy and Ella as well as her grandpa and her great grandma. Although neither of her grandparents were diagnosed with Leukemia or Lymphoma, cancer has run in Maya's family and she want to help all families who have also been affected by Leukemia or any other cancers.

In the 1960's the survival rate for Leukemia was only 14% but with the help of LLS it has since raised to 65%

Our short term goal within these seven weeks is $90,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. But our long term goal is to raise awareness throughout our community and to show that even at a young age, you can make an impact on the world around you.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

We need your help in acheving our goals. To stay updated on our various fundrasiers, follow us on Instagram @Allforatown3.0, Twitter @ALLforAtown3, and Facebook @Allforatown3.0. To reach the $90,000 we’re hoping for, we need you to come to our fundraisers and donate towards our campaign.

Thank you for joining us on our journey.

With love,

Lucy, Maya, and Carlie
