All of these things help share the mission of LLS and all of them help the cause. There's NEVER no way to help!

One of my main reasons for wanting to run was because I heard about my friends’ experiences with LLS and I wanted to be able to have a real impact on the world and the lives of people I didn’t know. I think running a team and running for student visionaries of the year will allow me to become more involved in the community, but it will force me to go outside of my comfort zone as well. I tend to do a lot of community service, but majority of the time it is only local. I really want to be able to help cancer patients and I know that the money that we raise, regardless of the amount, is going to help someone who truly needs it and that the money is going all around the nation. I know that the money is going to be making such a big impact on cancer patients (specifically blood cancer patients) and their families and that is what is my main motivation. I can’t wait to be apart of an organization that goes beyond just the surface level.

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
