I discovered the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS) last year through the Student Visionaries program. My curiosity was piqued because of all the impact my peers were posting and talking about around me. Once I looked into the cause and the impact of LLS, I saw videos of blood cancer survivors sharing their experience and what LLS did for them as well as statistics that backed LLS's nationwide influence. The age range of patients and volunteers, and the widespread effect on the community was touching. I was especially compelled because the money raised in each community goes to that very community first, and the idea of helping my community solidified my motivation. Alongside my co-leaders Adelaide McPhee and Jannah Khalaf, we have worked to secure a solid team (Treat It & Beat It), as we await the kickoff date, January 19th so we can start raising funds! With your help we can help treat blood cancer and beat blood cancer.
