Hello all,

Welcome to the Team Silver Lining fundraising page. Composed of students from high schools scattered through South Jersey, our mission is to raise $80,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Some of us have lost a loved one to blood cancer and some of us know survivors. But, we all share a common desire to be the last generation to deal with cancer. Since 19(48), LLS has donated nearly $1.3 billion into blood cancer research that has helped double, triple, and in some cases quadruple the survival rate of various blood cancers. Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. In addition, LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

Please take a minute and imagine having to hear the words “You have cancer”

While you may have the fortune of never hearing those words, that is sadly not the case for the millions of people who have or will. Many of us know someone who has battled this terrible disease, and have seen the toll it takes on them and their loved ones, not just physically but emotionally and financially. That is why it is ever so important that we all have compassion and offer our help and support.
