Hi!

My friend Aydan Ali and I are very excited to announce that we have been nominated to participate as candidates for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Students of the Year Campaign. The Students of the Year campaign (SOY) is a seven-week fundraising competition to raise money and awareness for LLS. We are writing to ask for your support of our campaign and LLS’s mission to find cures for blood cancers and to assist patients and their families. We have been given an opportunity to help others and we cannot do it without your support.

A driving factor for raising funds toward cancer research and treatment is Aydan’s grandpa. He, along with many others, has passed due to cancer-related illnesses. I have gotten to see him often and I wish to launch the campaign in his honor. Aydan and I have assembled a team of people to help us raise the most money for this meaningful cause. 

Our campaign runs from January 26, 2022, to March 19, 2022, and our goal is to raise $50,000 to help eradicate blood cancer. Yes, you read that correctly, $50,000 in 7 weeks, which will go directly to support LLS. We have assembled a team of about 20 students and parents. We want to help in any way we can to make it possible for more people to beat this disease. These personal relations give us the motivation to help make a difference on their behalf. Our campaign provides an opportunity to support the critical work of LLS in fighting these diseases.

1. Mail your tax-deductible contribution toLLS - 14 Commerce Drive, Suite 301, Cranford, NJ 07016. Please make checks payable to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and print ‘Team (TA)ckle Cancer’ in the Memo section.
