I am honored to share that I have been selected as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2022 Student of the Year campaign. Students of the Year is a fundraising campaign designed specifically for high school students to help develop business and financial skills across the competition. I am asking for your support in my efforts to help LLS on its mission to ensure access to cures and treatments for blood cancers. 

As many of you know, I have a personal connection to blood cancer. My father, Scott Druckman, has been treated multiple times for Hairy Cell Leukemia. He was first diagnosed at age 40, when I was 3. Thankfully, he has come out of each battle healthy and is currently in remission. It was challenging for my family to deal with the many treatments that my father had to undergo and the associated side effects. Thanks to his incredible doctors and support network, though, he remains in good health today. Some patients, however, are not as lucky. They may lack the resources, connections, or financial means to receive proper treatments. Moreover, they may not have the support of their community to help to get them through their trying times. By working with LLS and raising invaluable funds, I want to give all those impacted by cancer a chance to come out healthy, like my father. 

I would be honored if you could join me in this ambitious campaign. The campaign takes place over a seven-week period, from January 26th, 2022 to March 19, 2022. Along with my friend and co-candidate, Ryan Lemberger, our team, Team Grand Slam, has set a goal of raising $100,000.
