Dear Donors,

This past September I had the privilege of being nominated for a candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2022 Students of the Year Campaign. I am proud to lead my campaign team and work towards our goal to raise $30,000 during the next 7 weeks-from January 26th to March 19th. I am writing today to ask for your support of my campaign and LLS’ mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients.

All the money that is raised goes directly to the largest blood cancer research program in the nation, LLS, to fund cutting-edge research and treatments. In fact, the treatments that LLS is funding benefit non-blood cancer patients too. I am honoring those who have battled blood cancers and raising money that will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

We are leading this team in honor of our hero and motivator, Alayna, a current senior at St Rose High School, who was diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer in September. Unfortunately because of the rigorous treatment she has to go through, she won’t be able to return to school until March if that. Not only is Alayna a senior at my high school, but we also worked together this summer with the Spring Lake Beach Department. After seeing the direct impact cancer has had on Alayna and her family due to this sickness, I wanted to participate in this great cause and do everything we can to help her and others who are affected by Leukemia and/or Lymphoma.
