Ailee's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
Dear friends and family,
I am proud to announce that this is my third year being a part of the Student Visionaries of the Year campaign and my first year being a candidate for Team Answer for Cancer. Student Visionaries of the Year is a 7-week campaign where teams across he country compete to fundraise the most money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
I am so grateful that you found your way to my fundraising page and hope that you consider making a donation to help me reach my personal goal of $3000 and our team goal of $50,000. I know we can reach this goal together! All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
My biggest motivation for participating in this campaign is my grandfather, Dr. Dennis Carson, who developed a cure for Hairy Cell Leukemia and LLS played a part in making that amazing achievment possible. Hearing about all of the lives that my grandfather's drug helped save inspired me to take part in this campaign and continues to inspire me as I take on the new role of candidate.
One quote I believe is important is, "You can't cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water" -Rabindranath Tagore. This is relevant because cancer isn't going to cure itself, it needs the help of generous donors who care enough to make a difference.
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
Sincerely, Ailee Almog

Ailee, This is a cause very near and dear to my heart, as my much beloved grandfather and step-mother-in-law both succumbed from blood cancers. Thank you for your incredible goal of raising $3000 for the LLS. The LLS is an incredible organization, and I wish you much success in meeting your goal. Kind regards, Michelle
