My name is Zoe Tichy and I am proud to say that I am a part of Student Visionaries of the Year for Team Answer for Cancer. Student Visionaries of the Year is a 7 week campaign where teams across the country compete to fundraise the most money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). It is the largest nonprofit funder of leading-edge research for every type of blood cancer, and has invested nearly $1.8 billion in research since their founding in 1949.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

I decided to join this campaign because I’ve seen how horrible cancer is and wanted to help support people living in such a difficult situation. I am asking you to please donate! I have set a goal for myself of $1,500 and I cannot reach it without you. This is only my first year on the team, but I intend to help out as much as possible.
