To Those Who Have Donated..
I want to wish a huge THANK YOU to those who have donated! I am truly blessed to have you in my life, and I believe that your good deeds will catch up to you. I am so delighted to see the hope in our future and the humanity in our society!
About me
Hello, my name is Sara Ota and I am a figure skater. I balance both skating, school, and community service in my busy life, and I have chosen to dedicate myself to this. Aside from the unexplainable pain of cancer motivating me to fight this long and strenuous battle for others, I have understood how lucky I am, given the privileges that I was given. Using the voice and power that I have, I want to truly make a difference on this world and leave it better than it was when I first arrived.
Every penny matters: Please support us :)
My devotion to this campaign:
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the largest contributor to blood cancer research in the nation. I am honoring those who have battled blood cancers and raising money that will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. I support this organization because my aunt, Yoko, personally is a survivor of thyroid cancer. From that, I learned that what people don't really see is the financial struggle behind all emotions caused by cancer :(. Cancer often means someone losing their job, while costing a family tons of money from treatments and travel fees. Since then, I have been interested in joining the fight in beating cancer.
Leukemia still causes more deaths than any other cancer among children under the age of 20. My campaign provides an opportunity to support the critical work of LLS in fighting these diseases. On behalf of all survivors and victims, it would mean a lot to me if you could consider supporting our campaign.
I am grateful for your support! Remember that your contribution will make a difference, whether big or small! :)
