Isabella Lee | Fight for Smiles
Welcome to Isabella Lee's SOY Fundraising Page!
Today, 1.2 million Americans are fighting or are in remission from blood cancers and every 3 minutes, another person unwillingly joins the fight. Sadly, every 9 minutes an individual dies from these blood cancers.
I have been given an incredible and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join this battle and help those living with blood cancers. I have been nominated to be a candidate for the 2019 Student of the Year campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). This campaign is a nationwide program held annually to raise funds directed towards research, cures, and advocacy, and to support patients and their families.
Although I don’t have a personal connection to this cause, I have been taught to make my difference in the world by doing good deeds and leading others to do the same. I have made it my goal in life to positively impact the world we live in by increasing the number of smiles. With the money raised, LLS will be able to treat more individuals who have been given this burden and present them with a happier and healthier life. Like many of you, I have witnessed the debilitating effects that leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma can have on the friends and family who care for and nurture their loved ones. I have yet been able to comprehend how suppressing these hardships are to those who suffer from these blood cancers, however with LLS, I believe we can all join hands and fight for those around us.
Today, I am asking you to help support my campaign. Our goal for Fight for Smiles is to raise as much money during the 7-week campaign-from March 29th, 2019-May 17th, 2019. It would personally mean a lot to me if you would consider donating to our campaign on behalf of everyone who is struggling with blood cancer. To donate online, or to learn more about our campaign, please visit our fundraising website: https://events.lls.org/sd/honosoy19/ileeqx Checks are also payable to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society under my name.
Thank you for helping our team fight against blood cancer! I am grateful for your friendship and support towards this worthwhile cause. Large or small, your contribution will be greatly appreciated and will make a difference! I will keep you posted on my progress throughout this campaign and am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Help us Fight for Smiles!
Sincerely, Isabella Lee 2019 Student of the Year Candidate If you have any questions, email iml2001@iolani.org or call (808) 840-7462 for more information.

Welcome to Isabella Lee's SOY Fundraising Page!
I am honored to participate as a team member for the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am proud to support my candidate and am raising critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.
Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!
