San Diego Students Of The Year

Please note that the content below reflects a draft version of this fundraiser.

Please join us in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society(LLS) of San Diego's 2018 Students of the Year Campaign by making a donation. Your support will help fund the therapies and treatments that save lives, not someday but today.

The Students of the Year Campaign is a seven-week initiative in which nominated High School students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Candidates will raise money in honor of a child patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer.  The candidate who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named the "Student(s) of the Year". The campaign will launch on January 5, 2018 and will culminate with a Grand Finale Gala on February 24, 2018 where the winner will be announced. The Student(s) of the Year will receive a $2,500 scholarship to a college or university of his/her choice and the runner-up will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat individuals with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
