Bernard Llave passed away on May 16th after an 8-year battle with blood cancer. He inspired so many people to try new things, positively impact the world, and live with character, humility, and strength. He built the b.strong team and to date we have raised over $1.7 million to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). We miss him greatly and know the best way to honor him is to keep the b.strong torch burning bright. All donations made to this page will benefit LLS and advance the organization's mission to find a cure for blood cancer. Bernard was my warrior son-in-law. I knew him as a quiet, quick-witted, generous person who wouldn't give up, but persevered against all odds. An overcomer! Bernard always amazed me. He tended to be quiet, but would surprise me with his support of me and my endeavors when I didn’t realize he had even been paying attention. He was the first person I ever met who had blood cancer when I started training with TNT, and he taught me so much about it by speaking candidly about something so personal. I was shocked and so saddened when I heard of his passing - part of me just always assumed he would continue to beat it. The world has lost a beautiful person.
