Welcome to my fundraising page! I'm so honored to be given this life time oppurtunity in being one of the faces helping to fight cancer. 

I have never first hand witnessed the debilitating emotional, mental, and physical effects cancer brings into the lives of others. Yet, there's no way I can allow myself to be a bystander, letting cancer take everything away. Sacha Langton-Gilks has been one of the thousands of victims.  Painfully she states, "At 6:10am on Tuesday 14 August 2012 my eldest child drew his last breath.  I have to look up the time and date because my brain refuses to acknowledge this information, it's automatically sent to the spam file as dangerous.  I find my brain's attempts at self-protection rather than touching in wholesale carnage that is grief." 

My heart aches at the reality of cancer's truth. It has the ability with no warning to steal all that is good and whole like a deceptive thief. The fact is, we'll never know when or who cancer will strike next and it should be our jobs to advocate for those battling and end the fight against ALL cancers.

There's nothing I want more than for families to live cancer free, not having to worry about how they're going to pay or get to the next treatment, if it'll even be effective, or whether the one fighting will live the next year to graduate highschool. Yet, they have to accept someone they love is having their life ripped out of them by something they can't control.
It was this spark that brought my friends and me to form Fight Club. Join us in support of fueling the fire to eradicate cancer's existence. As teenagers, we know we have the power to kick cancer's butt. During these exciting 7 weeks of the Students of the Year Campaign, our goal is to raise $50,000 to help fund research, technology, and give patients the lives they deserve.
