I got involved with this campaign because I decided to gain a leadership role in this campaign because I know what it is like to be affected by cancer. My family has a past with battling cancer. Cancer was all around growing up, my dad and my grandmother had cancer. She had all different kinds of cancer and was still able to show me all kinds of love while fighting her sickness, proving to me that she is the strongest woman I know. She was a big part of who I am today. A year ago, I was talking to some of my friends who were taking part in a campaign called LLS. It sounded really cool to be able to make a change. Last year I was on a team that was able to gain donations to fund and advocate for LLS. This year, I wanted to continue this journey, so I decided to lead my own team and would love the opportunity to share more about it with you, in addition to the great work being conducted by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
