We are Millie Curtis and Katherine Nguyen, co-leaders of team The Cure Campaign, and we are both sophmores at Academic Magnet High School. 

We encourage you to join us in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to our fundraiser. By donating to LLS, you support the many facets of their work, like investing in research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. Our appreciation for your support cannot be overstated. No donation is too small, each and every dollar donated makes an impact and brings us closer to our goal to end blood cancer!

Every 3 minutes, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer, and Leukemia is the #1 most diagnosed form of cancer in children. Since 2017, LLS has helped fund 60 out of the 70 cancer treatments approved by the FDA. These treatments not only help blood cancer patients, but also people fighting many different tpes of cancer and other diseases. As a global leader in the fight to end cancer, LLS is committed to supporting blood cancer patients and families. LLS is also one of the world leaders in cancer treatments developed specifically for children. 

This past year has presented challenges to all of us, and these are amplified for those fighting blood cancer. Largely thanks to last year's Students of the Year program which concluded last March, LLS was able to launch something entirely new, the COVID-19 Patient Financial Aid Program. In under a year, this has provided more than $4.8 million in financial aid to 19,000 blood cancer patients and their families. Now more than ever, it is crucial that we are compassionate and generous, because this program wouldn't be possible without funding.

When we learned about LLS and its powerful mission, we knew that we wanted to become involved. We, like many of you, know people with close connections to cancer, and want to do everything we can to support them. The Students of the Year program allows highschoool students like us to make a lasting impact impact in countless people's lives, that will only continue to grow.
