I am honored to be nominated for Student of the Year with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by my best friend Brauer Dowd. Its a fitting way to honor such an inspirational friend.  Brauer was one of the first friends I made after moving from Texas to South Carolina in the middle of my freshman year. I was devestated and missing my friends so much. Then God placed this awesome girl in my life who was definitely going through more than I was.  You see, when I met Brauer she was finishing up her treatment from Hodgkins Lymphnoma. I have been so blessed to watch her beautiful hair grow back,  I am grateful I was there to help carry her books while she needed her hips replaced due to treatment, I am lucky to have a friend like her, and I am loving that she is now living her best life at Clemson University. I want to help LLS raise money for all the other amazing friends out there that are fighting cancer.
