#SpasPushingLimits supports LLS

Jan 17, 2021

Thank you for visiting SpasPushingLimits fundraising page, welcome!

SpasPushingLimits mission is to build a community of generosity, one race at the time. Our group of highly motivated spa professionals challenge themselves by participating in fitness events, while raising funds for varies non-profit organizations. For the last 5 years, we have taken part in Ironman 70.3 and 140.6 races all over the world. We have hiked the mountains of California, Nevada and Arizona, and we have joined virtual challenges, raising close to $60,000 for our charities.

This year we are excited about our next challenge – SpasPushingLimits for GOOD (Good Body, Good Mind, Good Cause). This challenge is a virtual 10K walk/run race supporting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS). For the next 6 weeks we will train and motivate each other to be our best selves, and during the week of March 1st, we will run or walk 10K in honor of a friend, family member or someone who has been diagnosed with blood cancer.

To support or to register, you can donate any amount on this page, and you will be recognized on our ‘SpasPushingLimits for GOOD’ Facebook group campaign. Please note that 100% of your registration/donation fees goes towards LLS and will bring us closer to our common goal to end blood cancer.

By participating, you support the many facets of LLS’s mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer.

As a global leader in the fight to end cancer, LLS is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world. LLS’s signature fundraising campaigns drive critical support for its mission, including a nearly $1.3 billion investment in cutting edge cancer research worldwide since it was founded in 1949. Since the 1960s, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled.

Every facet of LLS’s mission – research, education and support, and policy and advocacy – work in harmony to put blood cancer patients and their families first. LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, even funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that is now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. That is why at LLS we say that beating cancer is in our blood.

Please visit our website as often as you can and share it with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.

On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!

Monica Helmstetter (Founder of SpasPushingLimits)

My friends father was diagnosed with melanoma 10 years ago and is thriving. This donation is in honor of his strength to fight back, and for his strength as a father to raise an incredible woman.

I am so proud you are doing this for LLS ! I lost my dad to a blood cancer that became leukemia. I competed in the Man Woman of the year for 2 years in Los Angeles, the money we raise today is a treatment in 7 years. I will train and virtually compete in this .

Coming into full circle. Almost 20 years, I had this crazy idea of running a marathon before my 30th birthday. Crazy because I was never a fitness person nor have I ran before. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was my charity of choice when I decided on this goal. I sponsored an 11 years old boy undergoing treatments. He was with me through every steps. 6 marathons later and numerous half marathons and shorter races, my love for health and fitness have grown to what is today. I am so grateful for my health and that I get to do this! I am running in an honors for those who lost or fighting for their health.
