I am absolutely honored to participate in the 2021 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am proud to be raising critical dollars in honor of my wonderful family friend Barbara "Barbie" McMullen (pictured above), who has been fighting T-Cell Lymphoma for years and is currently cancer-free! Barbie, or "Aunt Barbie" as I like to call her, has been close to my family since before I was born and I am participating in this fundraising opportunity in hopes that I will be able to give more people the opportunity to survive blood cancer and to hopefully find better alternative treatments to blood cancer that are not so harsh on a person's body. I hope that with every dollar raised we bring the world one step closer to an end to cancer, and I am happy to be part of such an enriching and devoted program.
