Who Am I?

My name is Naqiya Aalam and I have teamed up with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and joined Project: Hope on their journey to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks (February 10th - April 2nd). I am a Sophomore in high school and extremely fortunate to be supporting such an amazing organization!

 
What is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Students of the Year?

 The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is an organization whose mission is the help find the cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. With this goal in mind, the Students of the Year is a campaign that works diligently to fundraise in order to achieve these goals. This campaign has assisted over 300,000 people in just 2020 and has allowed for over 10,000 volunteers to help us reach our goal. 

 Why am I participating? 

As a young woman, I am extremely blessed to be where I am today. Personally, cancer has had a significant impact on my family and friends leading me to discover LLS and their mission. After finding this organization, I took initiative and decided this is something I would love to partake in, as a healthy, nourished, and blessed citizen, I find that it is my duty to support those who need it.
