ABOUT ME:

Hey, I'm Yashita Singh! Currently, I attend Pleasant Grove High School as a sophomore. I am one of the many team members of Team Secure the Cure and I couldn't be more grateful. I joined this team in order to help spread awareness for those struggling with blood cancer, to raise awareness, and to do my part in supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). I've seen many close relatives suffer from leukemia, along with seeing some lose their life. I am here to take this opportunity to shine a light on those battling cancer and to take this amazing chance to help LLS in helping those who need it by raising funds and spreading awareness.

OUR TEAM:

This year, I am one of the team members for Team Secure the Cure. Our team consists of a group of high school students from Cosumnes Oaks High School and Pleasant Grove High School. Together we hope to raise a cumulative amount of $15,000. Thank you for supporting our team as we are so eager to raise funds and help fundraise for LLS  in honor of our local chapter's Honored Hero Emma!! Every facet of LLS’s mission – research, education and support, and policy and advocacy – work in harmony to put blood cancer patients and their families first. Our team hopes to join LLS in their mission as this organization has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, and even helped with funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that are now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. For this reason, all of Team Secure the Cure greatly encourage you all to donate and support those in need of your help. 

OUR HONORED HERO:

Our 202 honored hero is Emma Geiselman. She is a 14-year-old survivor of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. As of now, she is a freshman at a local high school. She is such an inspiration to all of us and enjoys many activities such as gymnastics. Due to LLS's funded research, Emma is currently in remission for 9 years!
