Hello! We are Team Red & Gold for the Bold! One of the first things we would like to share with you is why we chose this name for our team.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is specifically focused on supporting blood cancer patients and red is the color ribbon that represents blood cancer. However, LLS also is very focused on its Children's Initiative, an effort to provide treatment for children diagnosed with cancer. As our team is mainly made of teenagers and young adults, we find their work in this category very important. Leukemia is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in children and childhood cancers are represented by the color gold.

Also, all cancer patients are amazingly strong. They are some of the bravest people in this world. Some might even say they are "bold".

And that's how we got our name!
