I am participating in 2021 Students of the Year Sacramento. Our Team Leader and Student Candidate is Liliana Sanders (pictured above), nominated by Lisa Chavez.  Our team consists of, Team Manager – Manuel Sanders, Team Members – Richard Sanders, Lisa Chavez, Angelina Sanders, Mollie Lyon, Zuleyma Guzman, Jesus Sanders Sr., Marvella Sanchez, and Danielle Valdez.

Liliana attends Grant Union High School and is the first student from her school to take part in Students of the Year Campaign!  The name Pacers Pushing for a Cure is to represent her school’s mascot.  She would like to bring recognition to her school as well as awareness, opportunity and knowledge to her peers and community about The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).  They can learn what resources are available to help work towards a cure in defeating various cancers.
