I became a member of the Student of the Year program because I wanted to help more families that are currently battling cancer. Cancer is something no one should be faced with, but unfortunately most people are affected by it in some way. I wanted to do my part by helping raise funds for LLS, so they can get one step closer to helping the many families battling blood cancer.

Students of the Year is a 7 week campaign that helps raise money and awareness to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Throughout this campaign, different local teams compete with each other to raise the most funds. In the end, all donations collected by each team go to LLS to help support blood cancer patients and family members. Our team goal is to raise $10,000 through donations, fundraisers, and other events. As a team, we are dedicated to make a difference in our community and help raise as much money as we can for the LLS organization.
