Nikki's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Hello!
My name is Nikki Tosta I am a junior at C.K. McClatchy high school, and this year I am participating in the 2021 Students of the Year program through LLS with my co-candidate Morgan Johnson. I was first introduced to the Students of the Year campaign through my older sister Kori Tosta who competed in 2018 and ended up winning the Bobby Dean Award! The Students of the Year program gives high school students the chance to get involved with their community in order to raise as much money as possible for blood cancers. This program gives Morgan, my team, Team Change the Game, and I the opportunity to make a difference at such a young age and work with an amazing organization that will hopefully find a cure for cancers! This year all of the Students of the Year teams are rasing money in honor of Emma Geiselman, now a high school freshman in Lincoln, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was diagnosed back in December of 2009 when she was only 3 years old. But thanks to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Emma as well as hundreds of others like her are able to have their treatment funded. Because of this opportunity Emma is now 9 years in remission. And it is because of potential donors like you, that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is able to do all they do for families affected by blood cancers. Everyone is affected by cancer in one way or another and it is our job to do everything we can to help beat cancer. Our team, Team Change the Game, is hoping to raise $40,000 during the course of our campign from Febuary 4th through March 26th, 2021, and every cent counts! I would love if I could raise my personal goal of $3,000 in order to help our team reach our fundraising goal, and most importantly raise money to help beat blood cancer!
